What I can say for sure is that it was extremely loud, as you'd expect really. Aimee did stand at the front but safely at the side so no traumatic injury occurred, although all 3 of them came home deaf (so they made out!) The kids thought it was amazing ... or whatever the teenage equivalent descriptive is at the moment. My fella almost dropped his pint when Dan Brown jumped up on the bar right next to him ... clearly not following my alcohol-avoidance advice!
I was impressed that he realised he had seen We Are The Ocean before when they supported Madina Lake at Leeds Cockpit last April ... I missed that one too. I'm just glad that we have tickets to see them again next month at The SUGARMILL, Stoke although I am very disappointed at missing Straight Lines. If they'd care to attend the Download Festival I would be most grateful.
As for the venue, its very small but the sound is apparently very good. Aimee described it as 'alright' which is high praise indeed, trust me! We are not due to go there again but we are going to Rock City in March, which I have heard great things about.
That's my first, sadly limited, review done.
Our next gig is on Wednesday February 2nd, ANGELS & AIRWAVES at Manchester Academy ... can't wait!
